Sales Representative - North

Position Summary:

This position requires a results-driven sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

The primary responsibility of this position is to sell windows and doors to builders (B2B) and renovators in a specific geographic market, capitalizing on our current client base while seeking out new customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service existing accounts and obtain and/or grow the current sales volume within the territory.
  • Prospect and qualify new sales opportunities within the territory.
  • Process quotes for current and potential customers. May require site visits or a drawing review to acquire an accurate list of what is required and product specfications.
  • Accurately input orders into the quoting tool, generate any special quotes, drawing requests and site mull/glaze documentation that is required to capture all costs and determine delivery dates.
  • Provide techincal support, literature, and other support materials to customers.
  • First point of contact for builders/homeowners related to Field Service issues. Expedite the resolution of customer problems to maximize satisfaction.
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments as required.
  • Complete weekly, monthly, and annual reports/forecasts and budgets as required.
  • Works closely with the A/R Department to ensure accounts are collected in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.
  • Participate in trade shows, training, and associated meetings, as required.

Position Requirements:

  • Training within the Construction Trades, Construction Technology program or Interior Design program would be beneficial
  • Minimum of five (5) years proven sales experience within building trades, preferably millwork
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
  • Superior selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Prioritizing, time management skills are a must
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience reading blueprints and completing material take-offs

Working Conditions:

  • Home office
  • Travelling within the sales territory to visit job sites, the showroom, model homes, client offices
  • Travel to Head Office and other meetings, as required


Service Manager

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Service Manager who takes pride in the results they deliver, cares about making a difference and understands how rewarding working with a great team can be.

Essential Duties:

Service Department Oversight

  • Manage all Service personnel and processes to ensure they align with the organization's goals, standards, and customer expectations.

Personnel Management

  • Lead and manage Field Service/Installation Specialist, Customer Service Representatives, Service Technicians, and Parts Coordinator.
  • Hiring, training, setting performance goals, providing feedback, and addressing any personnel issues.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, understanding their needs, and addressing any concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Performance Metrics

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the service department and processes.
  • Initiate corrective actions where KPIs are not met.

Process Improvement

  • Identify areas for process optimization and improvement to enhance accuracy, quality, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance service delivery processes.

Resource Allocation

  • Assess and allocate resources such as personnel, technology, and tools to ensure the smooth delivery of services and the achievement of performance targets.

Problem Solving

  • Address any service-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

Budgeting

  • Manage the budget allocated for service, ensuring that expenditures are within the allocated limits and implementing cost-effective solutions.

Risk Management

  • Identify and manage risks associated with service delivery, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.

Reporting

  • Prepare and review reports on service performance, resource utilization, and other relevant metrics for presentation to senior management.

    Education/Knowledge/Experience Required:

    • Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory role
    • Minimum 5 years experience in Customer Service within the manufacturing or construction industry
    • Experience in window and door industry considered an asset
    • Experience with MS Office and data entry, must be very comfortable using a computer

    Service Technician - Kitchener

    Position Summary:

    We are looking for a Service Technician who takes pride in the results they deliver, cares about making a difference and understands how rewarding working with a great team can be.

    This position is primarily responsible for providing warranty work, completing installations, minor repairs and/or replacing Golden Windows products in customers' homes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Installing hardware, glass and window screens, including entry doors at jobsites
    • Driving company vehicle to make service calls at customer homes or jobsites
    • Ensuring all company safety policies and site safety requirements are followed
    • Loading product at warehouse and unloading at customer site
    • Providing exceptional customer service by listening and responding appropriately
    • Preparing manual Bills of Lading
    • Assisting customers, as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Highschool diploma or GED
    • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in a construction or manufacturing environment required
    • Must have basic knowledge of using hand and power tools
    • Previous experience installing windows and doors is considered an asset
    • Ability to perform heavy lifting
    • Able to read shop drawings and calculate metric and imperial measurements
    • Must be available and willing to work overtime, early mornings
    • Able to work independently and meet established targets
    • Displays positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills in order to address and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion with a quality focus
    • Exceptional customer service skills with professional, courteous and pleasant demeanor with the public

    Working Conditions:

    • Working at job sites and in occupied homes
    • Personal protective equipment must be worn


    Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant

    Position Summary:

    We are looking for an Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant to join the Finance team. The position, under the direction of the Controller, is mainly responsible for receiving and reviewing incoming invoices, efficiently and accurately creating invoices, and processing payments. The goal of this position is to administer all functions of accounts payable, while maintaining strong relationships with our team members and vendors. This position is also responsible for assisting the controller with accounting tasks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Match invoiced with packing slips and enter into ERP system
    • Correspond with vendors regarding billing and payments
    • Reconcile statements and payable records
    • Maintain up to date payables systems and records
    • Pay vendors and service providers (weekly cheque runs)
    • Ensure all accounts payable tasks and activities are kept up to date in an accurate manner at all times
    • Filing of A/P backup
    • Process month end and complete subsequent reports
    • Maintenance of master files (standard cost, quote master file, fixed assets, etc.)
    • Create commission payments to be processed by Payroll Department
    • Year End
      • Create inventory spreadsheets
      • Enter, upload and print year end inventory
    • Other duties as assigned

    Position Requirements:

    • 1-3 Years experience in Accounts Payable
    • Strong excel skills
    • Formal education in accounting

    Quality Supervisor

    Position Summary:

    We are looking for a Quality Supervisor to join the Quality team. The position, under the direction of the Engineering & Quality Manager, is primarily responsible for overseeing the Quality System and Department. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality and document control systems (ISO 9001, IGMAC, NFRC), driving continuous improvement activities, and supporting and promoting plant-wide quality improvement efforts.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review, maintain and control Quality System documentation and Master Document Listing
    • Recommend and implement corrective action as a result of audit observations and/or product failures/deficiencies.
    • Support full system Quality System audits, both internal and external
    • Maintain ISO Certification (schedule and assist in external audits)
    • Maintain IGMAC Certification (schedule external audits and testing)
    • Maintain NFRC Certification (schedule external audits)
    • Perform ISO Quality System Internal Audits
    • Investigate any potential non-conformances and establish disposition of any nonconforming product/material.
    • Supervise CAR process and audit CAR effectiveness.
    • Enter NCR Reports and audit NCR effectiveness.
    • Schedule calibration, regular profile scanning and corner weld testing
    • Log and distribute CIRs (Continuous Improvement Requests)
    • Gather data and generate trend reports for the Quality Department
    • Perform inspections as required.
    • Complete and distribute Quality Inspection Reports as required.
    • Issue quality alerts and follow-up.
    • Product substitution documentation
    • Assist production floor as required for troubleshooting.
    • Other duties as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 years quality experience in a high paced manufacturing environment
    • Related College or Technical Education
    • Previous experience working with ISO Certification
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Strong communication skills
    • Problem solving methods and tools

    Working Conditions:

    • Plant environment, regular hours Monday to Friday.
