SERVICE TECH HELPER/FLOATER

Assists Service Technicians on service calls to repair and/or replace Golden Windows products in customers' homes when there is either a high volume of calls or to help with large IG units.

When not required in Service, position will act as a 'floater' and assist in other areas such as: Linefeeding, Receiving, Warehouse (Shipping), or Production.

Qualifications:

  • A familiarity with Golden Windows products with previous glazing experience
  • Able to work independently and meet established targets
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency, strong organizational and time management skills to work in a fast paced environment with a quality focus
  • Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills with professional, courteous and pleasant demeanor with the public
  • Displays positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills in order to help address and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime, early mornings

ASSEMBLER/MACHINE OPERATOR

This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various pieces of equipment and assembling components in order to maximize yields and produce quality products.

Assembler:

  • Assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes using glue, staples, screws, bolts, or other fasteners
  • Inspect wood products for quality conformance
  • Able to read and interpret detailed shop drawings
  • Able to read metric measuring tape and consistently produce accurate results
  • Comfortable working with pneumatic hand tools and other wood working machinery (i.e. mitre saw, dual saw, table saw, shapers, etc.)
  • Excel in dynamic, team based environment
  • Possess the self-discipline and motivation to work independently with minimum supervision to ensure product is built/assembled in the required time frame
  • Must be flexible to work morning or afternoon shifts

Machine Operators:

  • Operate one or more woodworking machines to produce wood components used in the assembly of windows and doors
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions of cut specifications 
  • Able to read metric measuring tape
  • Inspect wood products for quality conformance
  • Able to identify the best side of wood to be milled in alignment with quality standards
  • Experience working with woodworking machinery (i.e. molder, tenoner, finger jointer)
  • Possess the self-discipline and motivation to work independently with minimum supervision to ensure wood components are available for assembly production withiin the required time frame
  • Must be flexible to work morning or afternoon shifts
